Sat Nav Sales on the Decrease

 

Will Sat Navs be a thing of the past soon….

More motorists are using inbuilt Sat Navs and smart phones to navigate through our towns and cities.

It has been reported that British retailer John Lewis have taken all their sat-navs off their shelves after a decline in sales and are only selling them on line.

Leading sat-nav brand Tom Tom have declared that their sales have dropped over the last decade.

Personally I like to use a sat-nav over a smart phone but many people use their smart phones for just about everything so I can see why sales have dropped.

Google Maps and other sat-nav applications on almost every smartphone is another reason for the decline in sat-nav sales.
Google Maps is free and comes as standard on most smartphones. It also updates traffic flow conditions on the road to give advanced warning to drivers about delays as they occur.
